Genesis is not a book of science, nor is it a historical book, it is the book of God. It is a book of faith. While it contains true and important information about all sciences, it is not one of its textbook, it is the book of God and the only one where we have this great privilege to see how He reveals Himself to us. The Hebrew title is Bereishit which means Beginning; in the Beginning, there we are. Looking at our past and origins, will give us a great understanding of our present world, and of ourselves. As far in the past as Genesis is in time, it is yet so close, its words are alive and powerful and its truths are like frozen in time for us.
